We now have an opportunity for a Project Accountant to support the Financial Controller and Finance team colleagues in delivering Golding’s Financial Strategy.   

 

This role will require 1-3 days in the office each week depending on business needs. 

    

Background   

   

In this key position you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our ‘Fit for the Future’ transformation programme. You will deliver accurate financial analysis and reporting to track project performance and provide variance analyses along with preparing and monitoring project budgets, identifying areas for cost savings. With excellent attention to detail, you will ensure that appropriate financial controls are implemented, reporting on identified weaknesses or breaches. 

 

More about you. What can you bring?    

 

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA/CIPFA)   

  • Experience of project accounting, and detailed financial analysis  

  • Experience of presenting financial analysis to mixed audiences  

  • Experience of delivering outputs to multiple stakeholders to strict deadlines  

  • Experience of process review tools and managing associated workflows  

  • Basic knowledge of social housing activities  

  • Basic knowledge of housing finance, and the Housing SoRP  

  • Good technical accounting understanding  

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills  

  • High standard of written and verbal communication  

  • Well-organised with a keen eye for detail  

  • Excellent analytical skills  

  • Good all-round IT skills, previous use of housing sector tools an advantage  

 

When and where you'll be doing it  

  

You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £52,500 per annum dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
