Background
We have an opportunity for a Health & Safety Manager to join us to act as the responsible and competent individual for all health and safety matters across Golding.
This is a key position in which you will provide health and safety advice and training to all levels of colleagues and contractors, embedding a positive safety culture across the organisation.
You will develop, deliver and maintain a health and safety management system ensuring that Golding meets its statutory, regulatory, legal and moral responsibilities for the health and safety of all key stakeholders. You will also ensure that risk assessments and safe systems of work are in place and communicated to colleagues.
More about you. What can you bring?
A nationally recognised health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH Diploma or BSc in Occupational Health
Experience of working in a health and safety role at a similar level and bringing about culture change within an organisation
Recent staff management experience
Experience of managing and developing a Health & Safety management system.
Experience in completing health and safety management audits against ISO 45001 and delivering an action plan to meet audit findings
Experience in training and coaching to develop health and safety knowledge and expertise to be embedded across relevant roles
Experience of successfully managing projects
A comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all aspects of health, safety and risk management
A comprehensive knowledge of current health and safety legislation and standards
A strong understanding and application of best practice in health and safety
Ability to use corporate systems including SharePoint, Outlook, Teams and Excel at Intermediate level and management of data bases
When and where you'll be doing it
You will enjoy a 37-hour working week and earn an annual salary of circa £61,000 per annum dependent upon your knowledge, skills and experience.
Our Hub, Home, Roam approach allows you to work from wherever suits you best whilst also having a central workspace to collaborate and come together. Our head office is in central Maidstone and is a new, modern and bright space which inspires creativity and innovation.
This role requires a minimum of two/three days per week in the office and regular site visits.
